A message from our Club Welfare Officer...

Safeguarding, particularly in football, is very much in the news at the moment so I decided to contact all of you as we ready ourselves for the much needed & very much looked forward to return of football in our Club.

Earlier this month I received an email from Mark Bullingham, the FA’s Chief Executive. This email addresses

several issues from the challenges that we will no doubt face as we return to normality, to addressing the historic abuse cases which have been in the newspapers & on the TV very recently.

Please visit our 'Safeguarding' page to read it in its entirety. It has several resources that you can access whether you are a coach, an assistant coach, a committee member or a parent. Please keep it & refer to it whenever you feel you need to.

Good luck for the remainder of this season and enjoy it. But please remember that Safeguarding children, whether they are players, spectators or referees are the responsibility of all adults, whether they are Coaches, Assistant Coaches, parents, Committee Members, Referees, or the FA..
