Abbeymead Rovers FC are based in Gloucester and have a vast array of teams among various age groups from 5 years upto 70+ years.
We are affiliated to the Gloucestershire Football Association and are proud that we are an FA Charter Standard and Community Standard Club. We strive to provide a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all our grassroots teams.
Our club is run entirely by volunteer committee members, coaches and helpers. We have come a long way since our humble beginnings back in 1997, evolving from a single team to over 50 teams now operating across the club!
A safe and fun environment
We strive to provide football for all in a safe and fun environment.
We have the policies and procedures in place to ensure this.
Our coaches are all qualified coaches, having a minimum of FA Level 1.
Our coaches have completed First Aid and Safeguarding Qualifications and renew these regularly.

Abbeymead Rovers FC provides football for over 800 people, with our base in the Abbeymead and Abbeydale area of Gloucester.
We are not for profit. All of our coaches, helpers and committee members are all volunteers who give up their time and effort for the benefit of the community.
Our goal is to provide football in a fun and safe environment for the benefit of the community.
A family club, not a franchise
With over 50 teams and 800 registered members, we foster a close relationship between all of our teams and players.
We all support each other to provide football acitivites to members for the benefit of the community.
Our main base is at Abbeydale Sports and Community Centre with pitches spread wiedely amongst the Abbeymead and Abbeydale areas.
A sustainable structure
We have built strong foundations to enable to continual development and improvement of the club.
Our operation is sustainable; our goal is to continue to provide football for the community for many years to come.
We are not for profit and all funds are used to develop and sustain the operation of the club.
